What
is a fetal anomoly?
Fetal
anomaly is a somewhat generic term that encompasses birth defects (multiple
limbs, skeletal defects, cleft palate, etc), chromosomal abnormalities (Down's
syndrome, trisomy 18, translocations, etc) and other unusual problems (twin-twin
transfusion syndrome, intrauterine growth retardation, demise of one twin
in utero and also maternal health or pregnancy problems).
