The difference between local anesthesia and IV
sedation: IV sedation is administered intravenously and causes you to sleep; oxygen is administered to awaken you. Food and liquids should not be taken 12 hours prior to the procedure. You will not be able to drive after the procedure. Recovery time is longer (approximately 45 minutes) and costs $100 to $125 more than the local. |
